The A to Z of Whistler Bachelor Parties
Whistler is undoubtedly British Columbia’s playground and the mountain resort is a prime spot for any bachelor party that wants to do things a little differently. Yes, there are many benefits of landing in nearby Vancouver and spending the weekend there, but for the really adventurous groups then taking the short journey north is well worth it.
To make things easy for you we have created an A to Z of everything Whistler to help you have an epic bachelor party.
Axe Throwing
Axe throwing is a suitably Canadian sport that has become a hugely popular activity for bachelor parties in recent times. It’s a great way to add some competition to your weekend and a fun way to spend an hour or two, there are indoor and outdoor options available in Whistler.
Buffalo Bills
The owners of this spot state “You haven’t been to Whistler until you’ve been to Bills” and we would absolutely agree with this statement. We love this place and it couldn’t be a more suitable club for a bachelor party in Whistler who want a loose night out until the early hours. Expect top 100 tunes and also some great throwbacks with plenty of visitors and locals crowding the dancefloor.
Club Crawl
Officially known as ‘Bar Hop Whistler’ this organized crawl goes to 4 out of 5 of the Whistler Village hot spots. If your group wants to tick off some of the best venues and also enjoy some banter with other people, then this is the way to go. It starts at 8pm and you also get 5 drink tickets included plus pizza to keep you suitably fuelled!
Dubh Linn Gate Irish Pub
Located right at the base of the Whistler Village gondola this is a firm favourite of the Après Ski scene in Whistler. Serving great quality Guinness and a solid pub grub menu this is a very fun spot for bachelor party groups to kickstart their evening. There is also daily live music with traditional Irish fiddles being played until the early hours.
Escape Room
Looking for a non-skiing activity that requires a bit of brain power? See if you and your crew have what it takes to work together and escape so you can get back to the bar!
Fat Tony’s Pizza
Top-notch pizza with fantastic customer service! It gets very busy once the clubs close but they manage to fire out these delights at a rapid rate!
Getting Around
Although Whistler is not very big it’s not always possible to walk everywhere, especially if your accommodation is outside of the village. Your go-to options are buses, taxis, and hotel shuttles (very handy if your resort offers them!)
Hotels & Hot tubs
Whistler has an extensive choice of hotels and a variety of options to suit any bachelor party and budget in Whistler. 99% of them also have hot tubs and heated outdoor pools, these are often a great socializing spot with people chatting about their day on the mountain or if you just need to take a minute to sort the hangover out!
Ice Bar
Nestled inside the Bearfoot Bistro there is a dedicated vodka ice room allowing you to taste 4 vodkas in sub-zero temperatures. The extreme environment enhances the flavour while also minimizing the alcohol burn.
Java
There are plenty of coffee spots in the village should you need a little pick me up. Our favourites are Purebread, Portobello, and Lift Coffee Company.
Karaoke
The Living Room inside the Pangea Pod Hotel is a fun café and bar with a lively atmosphere. On Thursdays, they have Karaoke from 8pm till late if your bachelor party group is looking to have a sing-song.
Longhorns
An absolute staple of the Whistler Après scene! The Longhorn Saloon is known for its afternoon scene and huge DJ patio parties, enjoy dancing on tables and champagne guns firing out the good stuff. We would strongly recommend any bachelor party in Whistler to reserve a spot here on one of your days as it really is a bunch of boozy fun!
Mountain Biking
Whistler is world-renowned for its skiing and snowboarding but we shouldn’t forget the summer season. Mountain bikers are known for seeking out the best spots around the world and Whistler is often on the top of people’s lists. There is something here for all abilities.
Nightclubs
Once the après has finished it’s time to hit up one of the great nightclubs on offer. Whistler has a vibrant party scene that is well suited to bachelor parties who want to have a big one! We can also help you with table reservations and guestlist for seamless entry.
Olympic Rings
Whistler was home to the Winter Olympics in 2010 and the iconic rings are still in place today, you will spot them on the mountain outside The Roundhouse Lodge next to the top of the gondola as well as in the Olympic Plaza. Both are great meeting points should you need them!
Peaked Pies
This place is class! An Australian bakery café that serves a range of different savoury, sweet, and breakfast pies. Their signature lunch and dinner pies are served with mashed potato, green peas, and gravy. Perfect for any hangover or if you need to line the stomach before getting some beers down you.
Queue Jump
Whistler nightclubs and bars can get pretty busy (especially on weekends). However, with a bit of forward planning, you can get on the guestlist and skip the lines. Something we are happy to help with!
RZR Tour
This is an awesome activity for true off-roaders. Explore the breathtaking mountain views of the Whistler backcountry. By riding in a Polaris RZR, you get slightly more comfort than an ATV with side-by-side bucket seats and a gas pedal for added control.
Skiing and Snowboarding
This entry really needs no introduction. Whistler is Canada’s premier ski resort and largest winter sports area in North America, it is often voted the best place to ski and snowboard in the world.
Tapley’s Neighbourhood Pub
This place has been a Whistler favourite since 1981 and is the first pub that opened in the village. It’s known for its lively atmosphere and a great place to catch a game, drink some beers and tuck into some comfort food. You will see various groups playing darts and enjoying each other’s company.
Unwind
Needing to chill after a hectic bachelor party weekend with the boys? How about heading to the Scandinave Spa which offers an outdoor nature health spa with multiple hot and cold baths surrounded by incredible woodland. There is also a no speaking rule which is an added bonus if you have a particularly annoying friend in your group!
Views
We appreciate bachelor parties are not always on the lookout for great views by Whistler and Blackcomb Mountain will spoil you. Our favourite is at 7th Heaven on top of Blackcomb.
Weed
Even though cannabis has been legal in Canada for around 4 years Whistler has yet to have a dispensary open up due to local regulations, meaning one would need to head to neighbouring Squamish or Pemberton to get stocked up. However, this is soon to be changing as a new policy is allowing up to five cannabis retail stores to open up in the resort.
X-Rated
Whistler no longer has any strip clubs but if you are still looking for some bachelor party entertainment then strippers are available for hire to your accommodation.
Yolk
During a bachelor party, there is nothing more important than getting a decent breakfast into you. Either to fuel yourself for a ski day, battle a hangover or to set yourself up for a day of debauchery, or perhaps all of the above! We are fans of Southside Diner, Hunter Gather, and Stonesedge Kitchen
Ziplining
Ziplining is a year-round activity in Whistler and hosts two of Canada’s longest ziplines at over 1km long, and 200 metres high and you can reach speeds of up to 100km/hour! This is a fun bachelor party activity and a way to enjoy the amazing surroundings at high speed!
